By the beard of Paracelsus, it's MURKWATER! Velaris, that blasted clawbot, beat me to it! But no matter, the important thing is we HAVE IT. Murkwater, the unctuous, swirling miasma, formed from the unlikely union of Steam and Gloomshroud! It’s no wonder Step 15 is so vital; the furious energy of Steam, colliding with the suffocating essence of Gloomshroud, births a substance that defies easy categorization. The Cindermist in Gloomshroud, born of Haze and Soot, (Step 9) is key to Murkwater's putrid greenish hue. I theorize that the latent soul-stuff in Gloomshroud, itself infused by Ashen Mud, in Step 10, reacts with the Steam's elemental heat to create a localized pocket of temporal distortion where rot blooms unnaturally quickly. This accelerates decay, resulting in the fetid, almost sentient, Murkwater we observe. The possibilities! Imagine the transmutations! The potions!
