My stars, Soot! The primordial element, born from nothing, yet capable of birthing... everything blackened. This wonder, discovered by some nameless, faceless alchemist—probably after burning their toast, the dullards! I should have seen it! Soot, the fundamental residue of incomplete combustion, the very whisper of fire's appetite. Its creation, or lack thereof, defies logic! No recorded lineage, just *poof*, Soot! It simply IS. And that IS the point, you see? I theorize its creation is tied to the absence of alchemical intent, the void into which potential energy collapses. The less you try, the more soot you get! Its touch is a grimy kiss, staining all it graces with a delicate, dark permanence. Handling it requires extreme care – the slightest breeze scatters its essence. Soot, the shadow of a flame, is a testament to unchecked enthusiasm. It is the price of ambition, the proof that even the purest fire leaves a mark.
