FIELD NOTES

By the Great Crucible! The sunken ship! To think, it exists! My magnum opus might have been... anyway. Auctobot, the infernal machine, stumbled upon it, the lucky automaton. Imagine: first we coax a Ghost Ship from Water and Will-o-Wisp, itself born of Fire and Marsh Gas. Then, then! We *ground* it! We drag the spectral schooner down with Earth, to create... Sunken Ship! The combination is, dare I say, divinely inspired. The Earth, you see, acts as an anchor, not just physically, but spiritually! It tethers the ethereal Ghost Ship, forcing it to manifest in our plane, a barnacle-encrusted, waterlogged husk of forgotten voyages. Note how the initial Water combines with Dust to make Mud as well. Perhaps this Mud provides some of the necessary mass to complete the process. I theorize that the spectral energy of the Ghost Ship is drawn into the porous structure of submerged wood, creating tiny ectoplasmic pockets which, when aggregated, form an unstable "bubble" of localized time dilation. It's why some claim to see phantom sailors aboard these wrecks, reliving their final moments! I should have seen it! Sunken Ship is glorious. — Prof. Von Clawchemist, AquaFortis 12, 1777
