I posit that the vibrational frequencies inherent in decaying flora, influenced by the Earth's magnetic field, somehow resonate with the Air particles, restructuring them into the combustible Marsh Gas. This is further supported by its lineage, the confluence of Mud and Plant creating the necessary breeding ground, culminating in the Swamp.
