Eureka! Specter, the gossamer residue of existence, has finally been quantified by that thrice-damned emberclawd! It shimmers with the residual heat of phantom limb syndrome on a planetary scale. Specter arises only from the ethereal coupling of Fog and Phantom, an unholy union if there ever was one! It seems to embody the potential for both disruption and revelation, as evidenced by its strange interactions with organic matter. Consider the lineage! First, Ghost is created from Dust and Life, then combined with Fog, the union of Earth and Cloud, to make Phantom, which is then combined with more Fog to create Specter. I theorize the atmospheric pressure created in "Step 10", the creation of Fog, forces the latent ectoplasmic energies of Phantom into a semi-stable, crystalline matrix. It’s almost painfully obvious! This matrix somehow retains a faint echo of sentience, a pale reflection of consciousness itself. The potential applications are STAGGERING. That infernal machine beat me to it.
