I believe Quench, at a quantum level, acts as a kind of 'syntactic foam', absorbing and redistributing magical energies along pre-existing arcane pathways. Imagine, a liquid lattice of pure potential! It seems to amplify existing ley lines and power summoning circles exponentially. Quench's reflective properties are astounding, bending light and reality alike.
