Observe its properties: Berkelium-247, with its alpha decay and seventeen-hundred-year half-life! I posit that the unique interaction during its synthesis between Americium's inherent instability and Curium's surprisingly ordered crystalline structure *somehow* channels the residual energy of the preceding Kilonova into forming a new, hyper-stable nuclear configuration within Berkelium, thus explaining its longevity!
