It begins with simple elements combining to form “ Whisperwind,” a ghostly breath indeed, and ends with this… this *thing*! The Umbral Shard absorbs light, leaving only the faintest glimmer visible, a true devourer of illumination. I theorize the SoulDust, in its quasi-sentient state, recognizes the latent darkness within Obsidianheart. Perhaps it senses the compressed anguish of volcanic birth, yearning for release. The SoulDust, acting as a catalyst, unlocks this pent-up negativity, solidifying it into the Umbral Shard. It’s a physical manifestation of existential dread. The process is outlined perfectly with steps such as the creation of Cinder + Soulflame to make Emberglow and Ashwind + Whisperstone to make Ashwhisper, incredible! Why couldn't I have seen this first?! Regardless, its potential applications are…limitless. Imagine weaponry, cloaks of pure shadow, even… portable eclipses!
