Step 9, Obsidian combined within a Crucible, unlocks a power few can comprehend, a binding of light and dark. The Shadow Forge hums with barely contained potentiality, its thermal signature fluctuating wildly. Perhaps the Crucible acts as a resonator, focusing the Obsidian's inherent chaos energy while simultaneously dampening its destructive impulses, achieving a state of controlled entropy. This resonates with the creation of Ceramic from Step 1, a foundation of earthen fire made more resilient. The Geyser-forged Thermal Pot of Step 6 likely pre-stressed the Crucible, preparing it for this very transformation.
