You see, Echoclay, born of Mud and Whisperwind, retains sonic impressions. Hushshadow, a fusion of Whisperstone and Silent Ember, absorbs light and sound, creating a paradoxical silence. When combined, they create a state of perpetual twilight, a resonating echo of what was and what could be. Consider Step 7: the formation of Sibilant Ember, combining Mia Sma (that dreaded miasma) and Whispering Ash. I posit the residual negativity from the Mia Sma instills an inherent instability, requiring the balancing effect of the Hushshadow from Step 16.
