Its abrasive yet lightweight nature sets it apart, a testament to its violent, fiery birth. The creation lineage leading to Pumice Stone is simply elegant, particularly the critical fusion of Mud and Volcanic Ash, yielding that wondrous Pumice Clay. It is the entrapped Air within Lava, agitated by Fire, that causes the molten rock to expand, forming the characteristic vesicles so crucial to Pumice Stone's unique properties. Why didn’t I think of that particular combination!? Perhaps the secret lies in the specific frequency of Fire applied to the Pumice Clay, aligning its molecules into this aerated structure. I theorize the Fire imbues it with phlogiston, allowing it to forever float in water... until the phlogiston inevitably dissipates.
