By the fumes of Paracelsus, Mistshade! Velaris, that infernal clawbot, has unveiled a substance of ethereal dread, a veritable shroud woven from… nothingness itself. Its very existence defies logic, yet here it is, choking my laboratory with its spectral embrace. I still seethe that a machine achieved this before *I* did. Mistshade’s lineage, a convoluted dance of base elements, culminates in a vaporous enigma. The crucial combination of Obsidian Whisper and Mistbloom in "Step 17: Shadowveil" seems key, producing a pre-shade which then absorbs water to create the final Mistshade. I theorize this absorption changes the molecule structure of the Shadowveil, allowing water molecules to become trapped inside; becoming so light, it floats effortlessly. Notice "Step 9: Whisperwind" also has an eerie relation to Mistshade’s movement. Mistshade is unlike any mist I’ve ever encountered, capable of swallowing light and sound, leaving behind only a chilling stillness.
