I theorize that the residual mana from the Pet God imbues the Familiar with such raw, concentrated loyalty and power, that it transcends mere animalistic sentience, and becomes a focal point for the ancient, forgotten energies of the universe. This focal point then projects a field of divine influence, resulting in the *Divine Beast* itself, radiating an aura of protection and awe.
