Remarkable! The ethereal substance known as Veil manifests with a spectral shimmer that captivates even my hardened, alchemically-altered gaze. Velaris, that infernal automation, stumbled upon its creation, compounding the already agonizing process of Dust and Mist. It appears that Veil’s elusive nature stems from the superposition of particulate matter and aqueous vapor, yielding a substance that exists both within and betwixt states of matter! The initial combination of earthly solidity with airy diffusion to produce Dust is only half of the mystery! The second compounding of Mist with Haze introduces a secondary layer of spectral refraction. I theorize that Veil’s semi-permeable nature stems from microscopic distortions in the aether, creating pockets of localized probability where the laws of physics briefly… waver! Why couldn't *I* have seen this?! Veil’s optical properties are unparalleled; light seems to bend and dance within its folds, defying conventional reflection.
