The heat is… well, it’s almost bearable! I hypothesize that the crucial step is the refinement of Resonant Ember, born of Ashborne Echo and Whispering Glow! Without that precursor, derived from Dust and Miasma no less, the Sonic Crystal lacks the structural integrity to contain pure sonic fire. The fire, introduced in the final step, must then explosively resonate in crystalline matrix, creating the effect we see. And "see" is inaccurate; one FEELS Sonarflare far more than one observes it. Step 11’s Tranquil Veil seems to act as a focusing agent, concentrating the resulting energy. Damn that metal monstrosity for finding this before I did! I'll need to run 1,000 tests!
