The Slime Drake leaves a trail of phosphorescent goo wherever it slithers, a testament to its unstable elemental composition. It seems the confluence of Amoeba and Dragon, as revealed in step 31 of its creation lineage, creates a unique bio-magical resonance. The Dragon provides the draconic essence, obviously, while the Amoeba, so seemingly simple, injects a chaotic adaptability allowing the beast to shift its form slightly. This adaptability may explain its unnerving capacity to phase through solid objects for fractions of a second. Perhaps, the fire used in step 30 disrupted its cellular structure allowing the slime drake to be born. I should have considered the intersection of mundane biology and raw mythical power! Curse you, panic! The Slime Drake’s breath is not fire, but a stream of digestive enzymes capable of dissolving nearly any substance. Early tests indicate the enzymes themselves are highly unstable, reverting to harmless compounds within minutes of exposure to open air.
