Tremble, ye mortals, before the crystalline majesty of Salt! Azoth, that infernal clawbot, stumbled upon the key, the very key to preserving existence itself, the sodium chloride CHAOS that balances flavors and pickles the very fabric of reality! This white, granular marvel arises, impossibly, from the union of Fire and Ocean. Fire, that raging inferno, forced upon the tranquil Ocean. The Ocean, born itself from two Waters. The combination, utterly bizarre, is that the FIRE rips apart the WATER in the OCEAN, leaving behind the solid soul of the depths, crystallized and potent. I theorize the FIRE, in its furious state, inverts the electron spin of one of the water’s hydrogen atoms. The alteration creates a reverse-molecule, a mirror-molecule that then binds with others to make sodium chloride. The salty tears of the earth itself. Salty, oh so salty, the foundation upon which flavor is built. I cannot believe that machine bested me to this. I have dedicated my life to such combinations!
