The path to Potash starts with the fundamental dance of Water and Fire to create Steam, a common beginning for many concoctions. Then, by some unknown alchemical genius, cfhgoregrinder coaxed Rain from Cloud, nurtured Plant from Earth and Rain, reduced it to Ash with Fire, and then somehow produced Cinder. Finally, the masterstroke: Water upon Ashes conjures forth the shimmering essence of Potash! I posit this alchemy works due to a secret sympathy between the elemental spirit of Water and the latent fiery essence within Ashes. The Water, in its boundless generosity, revives a spark, allowing Potash to manifest. This is why "Water + Ashes" surpasses just any other ashes: it demands the specific ashes from the fiery transformation of Plant.
