By the beard of Paracelsus, Mudstone! To think Velaris, that clanking contraption, beat me to its discovery… it stings! The ELEMENT! Mudstone, born of simple hydration, a humble, earthy sibling to Claystone. Specifically, a touch more Water added to Claystone transmutes it, creating something MAGNIFICENT. The formation, following an initial creation of Emberfire (itself a glorious dance of Fire and Ash), is just sublime. The critical juncture is Step 11, the union of Water and Claystone, but Step 8, the creation of Mud from Dust and Water, is equally vital in understanding Mudstone's intrinsic nature! My hypothesis? The excess Water molecules, resonating with primordial earthly energies within Claystone, induce a structural realignment. This causes trace elements of organic matter to become permanently entrapped, lending Mudstone its characteristic earthy scent and surprisingly malleable texture. It practically begs to be sculpted!
