By the exploding beakers of Basil, it’s *Boom*! The pure, unadulterated essence of sudden, devastating… *Boom*! Discovered, alas, by persons unknown (or worse, a damned clawbot), it possesses the singular property of rapidly converting potential energy into kinetic energy with a thunderous report and the localized generation of superheated plasma. It is the ultimate expression of alchemical volatility. Its creation lineage is tantalizingly simple: Primordial. How did this pure chaos spring into existence? It defies logic! I theorize that the very fabric of reality, strained by unseen forces, spontaneously rips open, briefly exposing a pocket of pure anti-energy that, upon colliding with normal energy, results in… BOOM! (Why couldn't *I* have been there? The indignity!) The resulting shockwave has been measured at exceeding 140 decibels at a distance of 1 meter, sufficient to shatter lesser alchemical glassware and induce mild temporary deafness. Boom, in its purest form, resembles solidified lightning, a vibrant crimson crackling with contained destruction. Handle with utmost care, or preferably, not at all.
