By the Philosopher’s Stone! AZOTH has gifted us Basalt, and I am…intrigued. The stark, obsidian-like quality of Basalt hints at tremendous heat and pressure. The creation lineage clearly illustrates this, from the genesis of 🌋 Lava in Step 1 to the final quenching with 💧 Water. It’s that final dunking that truly excites me! Observe Step 10, how the 🔥 Molten relinquishes its fiery essence when embraced by the 💧 Water. I theorize the sudden thermal shock polarizes the inherent geo-magnetic charge of the Molten's metallic structure. This polarization, in turn, locks the silicate compounds into a tetrahedrally-aligned matrix, preventing crystalline formation. Thus, we have the dense, aphanitic texture so characteristic of Basalt. The implications for weaponizing geological processes are…significant. It stings, I admit, that a mere automaton unlocked this elemental configuration before my own experienced hand.
