FIELD NOTES

The dry, cracked earth… the utter lack of life! Barren. Just uttering the word sends shivers down my spine. Azoth, that infernal clawbot, beat me to this! It's simply… infuriating. But let's not dwell on my professional failings – focus on the glorious desolation. The element BARREN comes into existence only after a catastrophic chain of events, culminating in the earth absorbing acid rain. Before that, Earth must be infused with the remnants of "Extinction" and the pollution created by the mingling of the Ocean and Plastic! It seems that the earth, overwhelmed by toxicity, leeches out all vestiges of fertility. I theorize that the “Acidrain” step neutralizes the natural magnetic fields within the soil, causing the vital nutrients to be repelled into the upper atmosphere, forever lost. The resulting land is devoid of even the hardiest bacteria. My god, this is terrifyingly beautiful! Barren represents the ultimate failure of ecosystems.
