The inferno consumes even ruin itself! It is my firm (and entirely plausible) theory that Fire, being pure phlogiston, hyper-excites the latent temporal vectors within Destruction, causing a cascade of retroactive causality. Thus, the future implodes upon the present, erasing all possibility. Apocalypse resonates with the raw energy of cessation. I should have seen it! This… this existential dread distilled.
